Ancient Philosophy on Poiesis - Dictionary of Arguments

Mause I 31
Poiesis/Practice/Antiquity: Poiesis is the production of goods ((s) or of something that did not previously exist, i.e. also a transformation or processing of something). The poiesis is attributed to the oikos ((s) the domestic business), while the practice is attributed to the polis (the community or public action). (1)
The practice is given priority over the poiesis. (2) The practice is in fact self-purpose in contrast to poiesis. (3)
>Practise/Aristotle
, >Practise/Plato.
